This Privacy Policy explains how Beseam ("Beseam", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit our website or use our ecommerce visibility, audit, monitoring, recommendation, publishing, and related services (together, the "Service").

If a customer uses Beseam to process personal data on its behalf, that customer may be the controller and Beseam may act as a processor. Any separate data processing agreement will apply to that processing.

We may collect information from public storefronts, product pages, feeds, search results, AI-assisted shopping surfaces, and services you connect. We may combine that information with data you provide so we can run checks, identify gaps, and monitor changes.

The Service may submit questions, public store content, product data, and related technical information to AI, search, or commerce providers to perform a check or deliver a feature. Those providers may process the submitted information under their own terms or under service arrangements with us.
AI-assisted outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. Beseam does not use these outputs to make decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Customers remain responsible for reviewing recommendations and approving changes to their stores.
We use essential browser storage and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service and remember choices. Optional Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager scripts load only after you accept analytics cookies. If accepted, they may collect page views, interactions, device and connection information, and campaign data to help us understand website performance.
If you accept, we also run Umami, a product analytics tool hosted on our own infrastructure. It sets no cookies. It records the pages you visit, the referring page, campaign tags and ad-click identifiers, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, which it does not store. It also records which steps of sign-up, store setup and your first fixes you complete, how many markets, channels and products you choose, and actions such as starting a scan, viewing or sharing a report, or clicking a button. Page titles and every other part of a link -- including a store address you enter to check -- are removed before anything is sent. Umami data is deleted after 13 months.
You can reject optional analytics without losing access. You can change your choice by clearing this site’s browser storage, which will cause the consent prompt to appear again. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

We are based in Switzerland, and our providers may process data in Switzerland, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other countries. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual clauses.
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. The period depends on the type of data, the Service feature, our relationship with you, security needs, and legal or accounting requirements.
When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it unless we must retain it by law. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.
